Description
These miniature medals represent the hardwork, determination, bravery, and leadership that Colonel Laughlin displayed throughout his 30 year military career. The medals he earned in World War II were (in order of importance): the Distinguished Service Cross, the Silver Star, the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal, and the Croix de Guerre. The real medals accrued by Colonel Laughlin hang in a decorative shadow box that is still kept by his widow, Audrey Laughlin.
